Introduction to SongExtender
What is SongExtender?
SongExtender is an AI music workspace for creating songs from ideas or lyrics and continuing audio you own or have permission to use. It brings generation, listening, source reuse and downloads into one workflow.
Our Mission
Help creators turn an unfinished idea into a track they can evaluate and use. You choose the direction, compare the returned versions and decide whether to keep, revise or extend them.
Core Technology
The workspace offers six SongExtender model versions with different input limits and credit costs. Results can vary: a model selection or style prompt does not guarantee a particular voice, exact duration or release-ready quality.

Free Trial Access
Eligible new accounts receive trial credits for one generation with two versions. Check your account and the displayed quote before submitting. Playback and download permissions are separate.
75 trial credits; one generation with two versions for eligible new accounts.
Account Registration
Use the Google sign-in shown in the workspace to save tasks and results to your account. Returning users should use the same account to access their private Library and purchases.
Your First Music Generation
Choose Simple or Custom, describe the music or add your lyrics, select a model, review the credit cost and visibility, then submit once. Follow the saved task on the same page; each ready version becomes playable independently.

Simple vs Custom Mode
Simple starts from a short idea. Custom lets you supply your own lyrics, title, style direction and available advanced controls. Instrumental asks for music without new sung lyrics.
Model Comparison & Selection
Use the table to compare source upload limits, lyric lengths and generation credits. Upload limits are not a promise of exact output length. The tool shows the options available to your account.
| Model | Upload limit | Credits / generation | Lyric characters |
|---|---|---|---|
| SongExtender V5.5 | 8 minutes | 75 | 5,000 |
| SongExtender V5 | 8 minutes | 75 | 5,000 |
| SongExtender V4.5+ | 8 minutes | 70 | 5,000 |
| SongExtender V4.5 | 8 minutes | 70 | 5,000 |
| SongExtender V4 | 4 minutes | 65 | 3,000 |
| SongExtender V3.5 | 4 minutes | 65 | 3,000 |
Style & Genre Guidelines
Describe the genre, mood, instruments and energy you want. A direction such as “gentle acoustic folk with warm vocals and light percussion” gives more context than a genre name alone. Only request material and voices you have permission to use.
Best Practices
Keep one source unchanged while comparing settings. Use short, readable lyric sections and listen before revising one variable. Save the versions you want before their displayed file expiry.

Commercial License & Rights
Buying credits does not grant rights in third-party recordings or lyrics. Review the applicable terms and your source permissions before publishing or selling a result. The site does not promise copyright ownership, unrestricted commercial rights or freedom from copyright claims.
Learn more →Audio Formats & Downloads
Available downloads include real MP3 and PCM WAV files. Both use the existing download permission. Converting MP3 to WAV does not restore information lost in compression; the source determines the available audio quality.
Current Platform Features
Generate music, extend a track, add vocals or an arrangement, create a cover, separate vocals, or split returned stems. Your Library keeps owned tasks and results together, with titles, covers and source reuse.
Existing Features
Compare the two song versions, read saved lyrics, edit a title or cover, and use a result in another tool. Sharing requires an explicit Public choice; historical private songs are not published automatically.
Learn more →Upcoming Features
Personas, playlists and a native mobile app are not available. No release date or store download is promised. Use the actions currently offered in the workspace.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is SongExtender?
A workspace for making and continuing AI music with owned or authorized inputs, then listening, comparing and saving the available results.
How do I get started?
Sign in, choose a tool and review its input requirements and quote. Eligible trial access is shown by the account; do not assume a pricing-page description alone grants permission.
Which creation mode should I use?
Use Simple for a short description, or Custom when you want to provide lyrics and more direction. Your saved draft lets you revise the idea before making another generation.
Which model should I choose?
Compare the actual input limits and credits, then judge your recordings by listening. This site does not have a complete same-prompt audio benchmark for all six models yet.
